Hyderabad: GMR Hyderabad International Airport (GHIAL) secured the top position in the ACREX Hall of Fame National Level Awards competition, held in New Delhi.

Competing in the commercial building category for Energy Efficiency and Sustainability, GHIAL emerged as the winner, outperforming other corporate offices and buildings in India.

The ACREX Hall of Fame Awards, judged by a panel of scientists, architects, and technocrats, acknowledges organizations showcasing exceptional dedication to energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.

GHIAL, guided by its ethos of ‘Creating Tomorrow Today’, has established a new standard in the industry through its persistent efforts, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to the environment and sustainable practices as a leader in the airport sector.

GHIAL holds an ACI Level 4+ carbon accreditation and aims to achieve Net zero by 2030.

This recognition highlights GHIAL's considerable potential and capabilities in shaping a better, sustainable future.

GHIAL has also earned the distinction of being the first airport to receive the “National Energy Leader” rating five times and the “Excellent Energy Efficiency Unit” rating nine times by CII.
